Just a standard one lol. I think i wrecked it on the ice when it went down a deep pothole i think? because its really loud and people have been flashing me (even though there's nothing hanging off, and my dad went under and couldn't see any problem but said it might be by the manifold).

I'd get a big exhaust but thought it would look stupid with standard wheels so are going to need alloys first then get the exhaust :(

Life's expensive!

Would have been a LOT easier if i could have folded the mirrors in and taken the covers off.

Thanks i had Halfords vouchers so i went and brought:

Halfords Grey primer

Halfords Seat Flash red (thats only seat colour they do but no doubt VW colours will be the same?)

Can of Laquer to give it a gloss effect (this makes it match properly)

It came to £18 but i reckon it would be cheaper if you shopped online, i just had vouchers to use :)

Remember to fllow the instructions closely and let each stage dry for a day before you do the next stage (its all on the paint instructions anyway :)

They were standard on the Cupra (?) and were never made separately. I'll have to paint 'em myself. Oh well. How are yours coming along?

I'm sure i've read posts on here saying they sell them in gloss black only, ill have a look for you. Mine are finished now mate! Look the same as in the pics but both have been done :)

Next Mod (if you can call it a mod, is to remove the Seat Sticker from back window and maybe debadge the back?)

Edit, the mirrors cost £18 for gloss black : http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=242199&highlight=mirror

You're right. Anyway, I asked the same guy who replied to the linked post, he said they weren't available to supply them.

Do it. Debadging looks mean. What sticker all you talking about? I've removed all the dealer ones and such. They're easy mods to do, and look pretty good so I say go for it. How can you be working on the car so much, are you not experiencing the weather I am?

No, i have cleared some room in the garage so can work on it a bit now :) I don't really want to risk driving in the snow because a few mates have crashed already so would rather do a few small things to the car .
