Have you driven the car since u cleaned it? Your CEL light might come off after you have removed it if you took the plug out. If this happens disconnect battery for 10 mins then re-connect and it should be fine :)

Yeh ive driven it, and no problems.

I just made sure everything was back together before turning on the ignition.

I'll see how it goes, i really dont think ive done anything thats going to make a difference though...

It doesnt always come on like :D At least you know its clean so if you have anymore problems you can rule that out. You should notice improvements on your MPG though

I bloody well hope so. I sat at 65mph, for about 30 mins coming up the M6, and i averaged 43MPG, sat at 70 and it rose to about 46MPG. Its about the best ive seen my car do!!

I tell a lie, i have seen about 51MPG when going through a 50mph average speed check on the M1 south.

I cant get anywhere near 40mpg (around town it's sub 30mpg) so would be interested to see the state of mine and see any possible improvement.

Thanks for all the replies everyone, are appreciated. Well I stripped the EGR valve off and cleaned that out (cheers for your assistance Mike) Took some pictures but can't post them up yet (need to get posting more!!) It was very clogged up so gave it a good clean up and the car is better but still does the juddering. I've had it up in the air and there is a hell of a racket coming from the bottom of the gearbox. I don't want to risk any more damage to the car so the Mrs is using my car this week and the Leon is going in for a new flywheel & clutch. Just hope that sorts the problems out. Seem to have an issue with the brakes now as well but am hoping they just need a bleed. One thing after another with the car but we are sticking with it and will hopefully get everything sorted this week then we can start enjoying the car a bit! :)
