hi guys, just dropped someone home, its mega icy out and the abs kicked in once or twice whilst braking. but after setting off from a set of lights i had 3 beeps, the red warning symbol come up along with ABS and and the TC warning symbol. Is it just low brake fluid or something more serious ? I immediatley checked oil and water levels and both are tip top.

thank you guys

cant remember exactly what it is.. but its one of the following:

1) low coolant
2) low oil
3) low brake fluid

i 'think' its number 1

more likely to be either pads getting low causing there to be less fluid in the master cylinder or the brake fluid just needs topping up

I have this to mate, TCL & ABS... Did have the flashing hand brake light aswell for a while till a had it on vag-com, It came up front left and front right sensor so i replaced them both at the same time then cleared the fault codes but they just came back up soon as i touched the brakes??

While i was taken off the two front discs ect i noticed that the both front discs and pads are really fooked.

So the only thing i can think that is causeing the TCL & ABS is low pads ect

Also i checked all the common things like coolent, brake fluid ect.

So give ur pads and discs a check over mate, Hope this helps??

just been doing some searching, and it appears to mean mow brake fluid but its at max along with every other level

more likely to be either pads getting low causing there to be less fluid in the master cylinder or the brake fluid just needs topping up

thats exactly what i thought but fluids are topped right up

If you've been wheelspinning quite a lot, the 3 lights you mentioned do illuminate. If they go off after a while then this is all it is.

well i drove to work this morning after checking everything, no TC light, but ABS light but went off after 5 metres. nothing really since apart from the odd flicker

Second thoughts....

When lee had the coilovers, we swapped the hubs complete, therefore he had the dodgy ABS sensor but it was fine on his car. So, try replacing the small bit of wiring going to the sensors, as they didnt replace it but just turned the light off.

But if the lights not on now, then prob all fine and down to weather conditions recently
