What other cars can i cannabalise for parts?

hey, speedo,rev counter and oil light all failed on the car the other day.having searched through the posts i see this is a fairly common fault and i need a new instrument cluster/dials.my problem is i have a 97 2l 16v cupra sport gti and cant find one in any scrappies. does anyone know what other models/makes would suit that would be a bit more common and would still be easy to fit?? Thanks in advance

I think the Mk3 Golf GTi dials and cluster will fit, but don't take my gaurentee. If your not worried about losing the GTi dials, just go for some standard ones outaa a normal Ibiza.

Cheers, 'scuse my total lack of knowledge but if i put a speedo in from say a 1.4 would it not be out of synch in a 2 litre?

not too sure, but you won't have a rev-counter (i think) lol

all the later 1.4`s had a rev counter. as i said earlier oaty, if you want a proper 2.0l 16v speedo i got one you can have!
