FR TDI surge

Hi peeps

My car has developed a surge at high revs (3500 - 4500 RPM) like my foot is going on and off the throttle. The car is due it 40000 mile service in 500 miles.
It feels like fuel sarvation to me. Any idears????

Also I've been quoted 345 quid for a 40000 mile service, sounds a bit expensive to me.
anybody know somewhere in the midlands that can beat that???????

cheers Leon

Could be the throttle block, get it covered under warranty[ had a simlar problem but at lower rpm seems to be related to regen - mine was]. Re the 40k service mine cost about the same!! was originally quoted £287, then was told that that this did not cover fuel /polen filter these were optional in the service!!
