Newbie with rear wiper problem

Hi all, Newbie here. We've had an Altea 2.0TDI DSG for a week and the wife has managed to break it already. She was told tonight that the reverse warning light is not working and she also figured out that the rear wiper is U/S. I'm guessing they're on a shared fuse, but which one?? The manual is less than useful and no matter how much I search I can't find any info of any use. If it helps, our car has a detachable towbar - in case extra fuses are located anywhere.

I have had a multimeter checking continuation on all the fuses I could get to and they all seem OK, which is even more puzzling

Any assistance gratefully received!

Seat Letchworth came up trumps. They couldn't give me the fuse location (apparently you have to be some sort of mystic to find out about the fuses....) but he did mention that if the boot wasn't closed properly then it would cut the electric to the tailgate. Lo and behold, my other half may not have closed it properly. Boot now closed and all working. Thought it worthy of a mention in case anyone else has the same issue.

If the boot isn't shut properly there should be a light on the dash to tell you.

Not on all models. I don't havea light on the dash.

it's useful to know that wipers won't work if the bonnet is popped and the rear wiper doesn't work if the boot is not shut propperly.

If I hear that tell-tale rattle from the back I check the if the rear wiper works or not before pulling over and opening and slamming the boot.

SEAT boots seem to need to be slammed to shut properly. (same with my old Ibiza too)

An easy tell-tale sign with the Freetrack (and perhaps other Altea models?) is that if the boot lid isn't properly shut the indicators won't flash on and off (as they normally should)when you try to lock the car remotely using the key fob.
