HID's now fitted!!!

:-o:-o:-o:-o:-o:-o
wow they're amzing!!!
Proper happy with the kit i got.
Its a very professional kit! presentation box and everything.
Made by a patented company called Brilliant.

Took me about half hour to fit, however i was a tad too excited to try one as i started the engine i was amazed, although bit annoyed when one of the brand new led sidelights i brought to go with the HID fell off the engine cover under the engine!

Took me 10 minutes to get it out! but fortunately i found it! cost a bomb for two descent led's!

Will post a few photos in better weather!

If you wanna go the full 10yards, I think (quote me if im wrong :p) but i think you can put HID's in your foglights too... but i dont think its worth it haha your just gonna blind people to death!

Went snowboarding dorchester way in dorset where i live, down the country roads in pitch black, HIDs are superb, dont really need the main beam and they seem to work very well in fog! Very impressed!

Time now to start saving again for front and rear arb
Chasis notching!
then maybe a FMIC to performance tuning.

HIDs are amazing... standard lights are just not up to the job once you have had HIDs!

What is chassis notching?

Basically my leon is that low on full drop the driveshafts rest hard on the chasis supporting the weight of the body or when i'm driving low again driveshafts hit the chasis.

So ...

Getting a slot cut in the chassis to allow driveshaft clearance, making my leon even lower on full drop and also allowing me to drive it as low as i wish without knocking the chasis :)

Awesome looking car dude, I love the wheels! Wish I could afford some!

Dude they're only replicas to get me by whilst i save for some special wheels. £380 quid for the wheels if i remember rightly!

FMIC will be the start of performance mods.

What insurance do you guys use for performance modded cars??

Umm im using admiral atm.... they've been cheapest two years in a row for me ... but i always shop around for the cheapest really. Don't matter who they are so long you don't end up paying through the roof on your excess ... (they tend to hide the fact that compulsory and voluntary are two different things, meaning there compulsory is £300 + your £300 voluntary = £600 Excess)

was through ebay mate

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-BBS-CH-STY...s_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET?hash=item518ecdb824

similar there dude!

cool i'm already with them,

got all the exterior mods declared but havent done anything to the car performance wise, under the hood is standard at present,

you reckon insurance would cost alot more with FMIC, induction, stainless system, hybrid turbo, and stage 2 map, then with addition ARBS, bigger brakes, strut braces. ??

gonna be my next project happy with the looks just wanna piss all over petrols now :)

Cool I'll keep an eye on eBay then, those ones you linked to are the wrong PCD.

Can't really comment on insurance with performance mods, all I have on my car is the mufflerectomy which is declared. I would think that the mods you mention would hike it up a bit, just give them a call and see what they say. They seem to know what they're talking about when I've spoke to them before.

mine is a diesel, couldnt justify the extra insurance money / fuel costs when i brought her. As i was only 19.

I need notch both chasis rails as its touching hard on both sides on full drop. So in theory the front end should go down a touch more once done! and also prevent knocking when driving low :)
