Good spot chaps! Yes, I did paint them both Gordz... The standard FR mirrors are silver and don't match the platinum grey of my FR... just a little thing but there you go! So if I am going to have a grey and black theme I thought I would paint the mirrors matte black.

Do you reckon that would work with my 1.2 plastic mirrors or not? Because they seem lower quality than your fr's?

Different paint finish but same mirror covers! Just need to rough them up a bit with some fine sand paper to give the paint something to bond to. Then a few layers of primer and paint. Maybe lacquer on top of that if you want a shiny finish! What colour you going for?

The same bright red as this, i havent took any daytime pics so ive just pulled one off google

Should do. I have gone for a grey-black colour scheme so I am leaving my rub strips as they are!

Mods update...

Just a quick update....

1. Remap in just over a week now.... can't wait to see what gains I get and how it changes the car! Even looking forward to a bit of a drive to get it done!

2. Unexpected mod was purchased yesterday. Saw it on ebay and it was ridiculously cheap, so bid on it and won! So cheap it was rude not too, and not much of a drama if I don't like it.

Any guesses?

It was so cheap. Might turn out to be a shocker but I'll give it a go. Always fancied something with a bit more volume than standard, so we shall see how it goes!

If it is too loud you could always get a local exhaust company to add another silencer to it.
