After Christmas im gonna be getting a GT2X HYBRID Turbo for my ibiza cupra
I no the GT2X turbo it rated around the 280 bhp mark but with it being a HYBRID i should see a bit more
Couple of things worrying me though do you think the standard internals will take this
also will the gearbox take this and would a standard clutch take the power?
if i had all supporting mods ie injectors, 4 bar fuel regulator,3inch MAF, and bigger fuel pump, jetex filter, uprated T.I.P., and iv also got full exhaust system with decat and intercooler with a good remap wat bhp will i be seeing on a standard engine?
and is it gonna be reliable wat do you all think thanks in advance:):)

Have to agree really, only heard bad stories about these setups, not producing the power they should and not really very reliable. KO3 hybrid all the way!

Sounds to me like you have already made your mind up, so im not sure why your asking for peoples opinions

I can only go by what i have seen/heard, take a look at JamieBennett81's thread about his hybrid GT2X. He had nothing but problems with it. Then look at the people that have had a ko3 hybrid conversion, Benny,RobbieC and JamieBennett81 again and they are all very pleased with it.

Id rather spend that bit more on a setup that is proven to give good results and more importantly put a smile on your face.

Hybrid all day long for me. Will have mine strapped and bolted on by feb :D

i know ko3s isnt no were near the 300 mark but if i can get a reliable 230bhp id be happy with that

If you want to go hybrid GT2X mate, do it. Set up well and it should work well. Standard clutch will only last so long at these power levels, standard internals/gearbox should be ok.

If all your looking for is a reliable 230bhp, do K03S, FMIC, 4bar FPR, sports cat or decat, cat back exhaust, stage 2 map, silicon TIP....

....That would save buying injectors, fuel pump, 3" maf/TIP setup and clutch (if yours is ok condition)

K03S - 230bhp, hybrid GT2X - 290+bhp, big difference in power. Once the GT2X has been rebuilt by CR Turbos there is nothing at all wrong with it, CR Turbos are among the very best in the business with turbos. People who put it down have no idea what they're talking about and/or have very little or no experience of it. With 317bhp on tap my car pulls hard right to the redline and doesn't let up, Impreza STi's and Megane 225's have felt the sharp end of that!

K03S hybrid - good but still tiny turbo and very expensive for what it is.

Having had a K03S, hybrid K04, GT2X then hybrid GT2X I can only offer you my feedback from personal experience.

It is the hybrid turbo is at least £350 more than you can get a hybrid done. Then stage 3 mapping is £600 whereas stage 2 is £400.

Depends what you want to do bud. I have a K03s and I am happy with it. Saying that I am going Hybrid soon but then I am a speed freak... :ban:

the GT2X has already been HYBRID already i just dont no wat to do now people say this turbo aint very good offers say it is im  . com

I'm talking about a K03 hybrid.

I think they talk about the turbo as it comes off the shelf. Once it has been hybridised it kis a totally different turbo internally. Faster spooling (althought not as fast as a K03) but power gains out of a GT2X hybrid seem to be more than a K03 hybrid, taking Robdon as an example but then he has done ALOT to his car and it is well set-up.
