Guys, bit of advice needed.... I need discs and pads all round on my Cupra, at the moment the rears are shot (discs had it) and the fronts drone badly when breaking from high speed. The discs and pads I think are non genuine which doesn't help, would I be best getting genuine Seat discs and pads all round?

I have heard that grooved discs drone and uprated pads have a tendancy of squeeling, this is why I'm thinking of getting genuine as the quality' is going to be better than non-genuine? If anyone has uprated parts that don't do this please let me know!

Fluid is due a change, so will get that changed and may get some braided hoses fitted at the same time, any recomendations?

Thanks :)

P.S - Brembos or Wilwoods would be nice, but they are lots of £££ :(

i have seen a full set of grooved disks and pads on e-bay for £189 which i thought was quite good, not sure on the make but think they were green stuff pads!! EBC grooved and spotted disks are very good but cost guite alot!

Thread resurrection.... :)
Ibiza's been off the road for a couple of months, so need to sort brakes out now... Does anyone know what discs come coated to prevent corrosion? All I can see is the EBC Ultimax discs?

I'm looking at the Ultimax discs and Ferrodo DS pad combo, but has anyone run the Ferrodo Performance pads? I know the 2500's are rated on here, but reading up the performace series is more suited to road use and 2500 track. I don't do track days and in general normal road use with an occasional blat. ;)

Need to do a fluid change too - Bearing that in mind above, would the Motul RBF600 fluid be overkill, should I just go for Motul DOT4 fluid instead?

Lastly, looking at re-furbing my calipers, has anyone usde BiggRed, any feedback on quality pricing etc?

Cheers.

DS2500's work on road and track... no warm up req'd
DS series by definition of Reg90 cannot be any better than 15% more than Oe, where as DS2500's are
