The interior light in my car is stuck on, even when i move the switch to the off position it still stays on but it dims slightly. I have recently changed the bulb for a LED 1. But when i put the original back in it does the same. Any ideas?

Thanks Rich

Chocozai, is your problem with an LED too? Are we talking the main festoon or the W5W spots?

Have you checked your fuses?

ihave looked over the fuses and the only one i had to replace was the one for the cigarette lighter. Alll the others were fine.

Yeh it started when i replaced the festoon bulb with a LED that i noticed the problem. So i put the festoon back in and it still stays on. Both LED and festoon bulbs are doing te same.

That's weird. Like, kidinspace said, some LEDs stay on when the switch is set to off because they require so little current to power them and some current must still flow when the switch if set to off.

But what you're talking about sounds like the something has changed. Maybe the switch is faulty?

Something weird happened to me last night. I've got a LED festoon in my Ibiza and when driving in the dark last night it would flicker on for a millisecond and immediately go off. This happened maybe 8 or 9 times in a 50 minute journey.

It's a well known thing that happens to these cars when you put a LED in the interior.
More info here, http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=198599 Don't really think much can be done about it to be honest.
I've had one in mine now for 8 months and it's never drained the battery yet...

Thanks, dont know how i missed that post when i did a search.Yeh i thought it might be a switch fault so ive picked up a new one and will fit it later, I couldnt understand why the original festoon light stayed on tho, so this may cure it. If not i will stick with the LED, as people dont seem to be having any problems with it being slightly on. I had some thing similar in my old car, i found that it was because the bulb wasnt sat properly in the connectors and it kept moving with the bumps, which caused the flickering
