car looks awesome and goes well but is seriously fooking pi55ing me off

Aye ditto (although mine doesnt look as good as a facelift). Bruised my hand the other day battering the dash trying to stop it rattling. Cant wait unitl Saturday to get my car on the ramps and hopefully sort the clunk. But as always, its stopped doing it now its going to get sorted!

it's just none stop probs so time to go to pastures new...... we need reliable cars and clearly this one is not.
we do in excess of 20k miles a year so running to dealer is not favourable.

Handling of the FR is a little scary at times and all the probs the last straw.

1. Suspension clunking
2. Steering clicking / creaking
3. Passenger door does not lock 100% of time
4. Boot lock is intermittent too.

WHAT NEXT>>>>?????

cant say im surprised, it does definately seem like you got a friday car there, i hope the new BM will be better for you.

So many faults i can sympathise with my list to date stands with:
  • Power folding mirrors folding backwards
  • countless egr faults
  • rear wash wipe disconnecting, twice
  • passenger door unlocking itself when locking
  • heated mirrors not heating
  • headlamp washers not returning to the bumper
  • slight clunk from under the car when pulling away (very speradic)

I know theres more but i cant remember them

Hope all goes well with the 320cd

[*]passenger door unlocking itself when locking

yes - if we set dead locks it unlocks the door....?
boot is a bit random too sometimes locks sometime won't unlock

i was always told red cars are unlucky ......my first car was red and I stand by old wives tale!

My Ibiza 1.2 was fine mechanically but it got me 6 points and an accident and to be honest I was a pretty sensible driver!
I wont buy red again.

Mrs bought a red arosa, Crap clutch covered in scratches from people in the street, creaky doors, leaky headlights.

My silver cupra...
No problems.

i'll drink to that

the doors where a pain in the arse, the locks and sensors have all been swapped but i made be bloody nervous parking it in the station car park, thought i'd never see it again lol
