I think I'm going to get new front bushes fitted when my car is in getting the uprated springs fitted.

I get some 'clunking' when turning at low speed on bumpy ground, the car also likes to 'follow' groves in the road sometimes. I think these symptoms point to worn bushes.. (although there was no mention of a problem at the MOT 6 months ago)

Front Wishbone Front Bush 2 per car
Front Wishbone Rear Bush 2 per car
Front Anti Roll Bar Bush 2 per car

I think I will try to get uprated ones if they are not too much more expensive.. How much should I be expecting this to cost in total (parts and labour) so I have a figure in my head before I ring the garage!

thanks!

Prices on here as a guide:- http://www.powerflex.co.uk/products/Ibiza+%282002+onwards%29-729/1.html

From what you are quoting above quantity wise you looking at about £130 for parts from this site....but...I'm lead to believe and should be far stronger than anything you can buy from the dealer. I needed a quick fix so the dealer ones had to do me when my front wishbone bushes needed done. (MOT Failure)

Labour; you are looking at about £60-£70 an hour I'd imagine for fitting, I'm unsure how long to do it to be honest... maybe 2 hours?

So all in about £250 - £300???

Anyone know what size the Front Wishbone Rear Bush is? Either 30mm or 45mm?

Been told that the solid rubber ones that are on the TT roadster offer better handling without the massive price

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

Not sure about size of the bushes but the CUPRA bushes are solid rubber too and only about £10 a side.
They are also guaranteed to fit.

I would expect that being the same manufacturer - the TT bushes ARE the CUPRA bushes.

SEAT did replace all void bushes with the revised ones that have gone into the mk5's and mine seem to be doing fine (but got replaced under warranty)
