Need to replace my two tyres, narrowed down the choices of which tyre but I'm a little confused by the numbers after the 225/45/17.

Currently I have Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 225/45/17 91Y, and some of these tyres I can only get my hands on are available in both 91Y and 94Y XL (Eagle F1 Assym) or 94Y XL (Vredestein).

So question is will it make a diifference having a 91Y on the front and 94Y XL on the back?

There is another thread about it here that I can't link to due to my noob status :p
Change the numbers in the URL after the t=? to 116004 and you'll find that most people seem to think it's necessary to go with the XL options on the Cupra.

the number is the tyre load

91 is 615kg and 94 is 670kgs.

Aslong as their changed in axels then there shouldent be no problem. Id put the 94 XL on the front as thats where the weight is.

Seems that thread leans to XL on the LCR if 18" tyres, LC shoule be fine with 91Ys (that was standard fit)
