If you run the HiSpec R114-4 (4 pot) calipers these fit behind standard Cupra wheels and allow a 310x28mm disc, like I have done :D

Muchos £££ :)

310x28mm discs, 4 pot radial mount calipers, 2-piece grooved discs with anodised ali bells, Ferodo DS2500 pads and braided lines (made up for a MK2 Golf GTI) came to £1080

You pay a price to keep the standard wheels! The Wilwoods were another option but I've not heard many good things about the Superlites which seem to flex too much.

TBH i didnt mind spending alot of money on brakes. Its something that could one day save your life, especially if you go to a ko3s or over on standard brakes, you start to expose their limitations.

Ouch.

But then the brembo option isnt really much cheaper. and you dont really get to keep that oem feel with them.

Its proberly like hitting a wall when you brake compaired to the standard setup.

With big power comes big anchors eh...

I wouldnt really want to test my current setup to see where there limits lie nut i would imagine they wouldnt cope with abuse for very long atall.
