Yeah I did look around for other cars and better brands are just so much more money for even the odd ticked box on options list.

I do have a query though. The cars got a USB and aux slot bit says iPod works aswell. Do I need a connector? Which one? Ta!

Went into BMW saturday, and the prices are astounding. 30k for a 320i which only has 170hp. Laughable.

Sounds like a 3 Series Convertible and you pay a premium for that metal folding roof 4K over the coupe!! 2 litre engine is quite revy but lacks torque and needs to be worked hard to get the best.

BM really need the turbo petrols that are coming in 2011 with the new 1 Series and later 2012 3 Series. 3 cylinder and 4 cylinder twin turbo up to 250Bhp is on the cards.

Nice choice, looks really odd with those wing mirrors compared to pre-FL but I imagine they'll grow. Also, never realised the bumper was so different on the FL.

when u pick it up could you do me one favour i am getting same spec as u media pack leather parking sensors and all that good stuff. could you find out if the sat nav will direct you from the uk to a place called gutersloh germany as i am in the army based over here in germany i just want to know if i will have to buy another cd for it or not. Would be a great help Ali.

Hi, Ive just checked on my the Sat Navw in my FL and it does not have Gutersloh in it, although it does have some German places in.

ok cheers for dong that i will have to buy the german cd or download it. I do not understand why they do not make a european map disk instead you have to buy each country individually at the cost of 120 pound a disk or is there a european disk avalible which i have not seen.

i think germany will be on, just not gut. the maps are either east or west europe.
you cant get too much detail on a cd i'm afraid. the rns 510 maps are getting on for 10gig.

Hmmmmmm, first hiccup.

Dealer says they cannot tax the car coz dvla system is down. Untill it's taxed I cannot pick it up. Grrrrrrrr.

Apparently new cars need to be registered and taxed online first. I checked with my auntie who works for Audi and this does appear to be the case.

So it's gonna be Thursday now when I can pick up the care, hopefully.

You can tax your car for a year and a week they will do it for new cars it saves you losing 3 weeks of tax. Just ask the dealer I do it every time as I allways seem to pick my cars up near the end of the month. It only cost a few pounds so its worth it.

Picked it up this! WOW, its really quite alot nicer than the Pre facelift i had. Nice interior, steering wheel feels nice, its a bit smaller. Parking sensors come up on the sat nav screen, auto lights auto wipers work nice

Also... the engine is a FSI not a TFSI like the prefacelift, and the mechanic says its 242BHP not 237BHP (and no i dont mean PS like the europeans BHP equiv) like the pre facelift.

I asked this question earlier as to which engine is in the facelift cupra and it was believed to be the old TFSI, not the newer FSI.

The BHP isnt what im bothered about but having the newer engine in it is great.

umm, maybe its an TSI ... might have got my letters mixed up.. il pop the bonnet in a few hours when i finish work and check.

Or maybe the mechanic / dealership were confused, as i also thought is was the same older engine as the pre FL..

But 242BHP is not what the old engine is, it was 240PS or 237BHP so to say 242BHP..must have come from somewhere?
