do I have clutch problems?

over past 2-3 weeks there's a noise coming from front of car / engine bay when i press or release clutch. only way i can describe it is to say it doesn't sound like a mechanical noise (i'm not saying it's not mechanical only that it doesn't sound so) it's more of a humming type noise that lasts just under a sec, possibly when clutch is engaging & dis-engaging. other than the noise the clutch appears to be working fine.

any ideas?

If its in warranty take it in to prove the dual mass flywheel[DMF] is still intack - it could still be the release bearing, not sure if thats under warranty though. ..........................................................
