You know you have a Bitza mk2 when you want to change the rear plastic panels on the tailgate and then install the reflective rear panels, only to stop and find out there is a stupid screw which you can not remove because no screwdriver exists for it, and then you have to open the tailgate, remove plastic cover, cut the plastic rivit and then hit the end of the screw with a hammer until it comes out!

As a newbie may I just thank you all?

I have so many of these things happening to my old diesel Mk2 and I thought it was just me and it!

I feel much better knowing that I am not alone.

Does anybody know why the speedo would die at the same time as the clock starts running wildly fast?

(And what is the secret of the rear wiper, or does it just have a mind of it's own?)

You know you have a mk2 ibiza when you sell it and instantly miss it and buy another, then swap that for what you though was your dream car (mk2 golf 16v gti!!!) then instantly want to swap it for another ibiza!!! although I know have a pug 205 gti 1.9 :-o(which i'll happily swap for an ibiza valver!!:D)

Not 100% its fixed yet, not had chance to take it a decent drive.

Mine was the connectors under the rear seats, must have been a bad contact. Also cleaned the front trigger wheels. Pain in the butt really but Vagcom helped alot with finding the rear sensor fault.

Scares the poop outa me having the rears lock up, gets abit sketchy :drive2:
