I don't think I would personally go any lower. It scrapes when I go in and out of my little boys nursery car park. And I'm driving in and out REALLY slowly.

My saxo was 65 and took me ages to get over them, theres an art without taking ya bumper off lol, the clio just bounce over them no probs, and leon is like a snow plogh, dreading when the snow is here :cartman:

i suffered with mine on standard suspension, and now its lowered obviously its 10 times worse....you have to be more aware when going down ramps and changes in road angles etc.....only jut the other day i pulled up on a curb (2 wheels on road, 2 on path) and i must of not realised the curbs were higher than normal, but the horrible ssssshshshhhshhhhhh from the splitter nearly made me cack myself as i thought my sump was goona drop off hahahah

...I constantly have problems with my splitter, i can just about get onto my drive way, but most of my friends houses are out of bounds for the Leon due to their banked drives, no matter how slowly i go. I would love to lower the motor, but just can't see how i could take it anywhere!!

Is it worth it though? (being lowered)

My previous car was a Focus and I got it lowered by 50mm. Looked good and all but felt like I had bricks on my dampers and not springs!

Doubt I will lower my Cupra though.

Yeah it's a horrible sound. Like you say it makes you cack your pants and think it's something worse.

splitter

Dropped mine on coilovers, have to say my missus now thinks my car is stupid as some areas are fully out of bounds, I have to make a 2mile round trip to visit one of my mates due to speed humps, wouldn't change it for the world though, looks so much more aggresive and handles soooo much better.....must admitt though now when we go out in her litle vtr I find myself screwing my face up as she enters the petrol station at 30. And yes, my splitter is f*cked.

cos you lowered it too much dude.....mine is 25mm lower on KW variant 3 coilovers and the ride is 10 times more comfortable (you did read that right) and until you have tried variant 3s you will never know how much they change the car

back on subject.....unfortunately the compromise of having a car that handles like a go-kart is huge sacrifices.....i.e i can never park in a multi storey car park again, every speed hump deserves respect, even if it looks low (ive been caught out loads of times)....who cares if you are holding all the traffic up?...me and jonjay were just saying the other day that i go over every speed hump at 2mph (so does he), and you should see the tailbacks hahahaahah

As my instructor always said, if they're behind you, they don't matter and if they feel the need to over take, let them. Not too long ago, I was doing 20mph over humps around my way and everyone decided to over take me, what do I care, I just watched them hit the humps further down the road at 40mph and do some serious damage to their suspension which no doubt they're beginning to find out now :D

Haha, you see it as a challenge? I do get the red mist at times. I had some poxy A3 180 up my rear the other day on the dual carriageway with some bird driving, speed limit was 50mph so that's what I was doing, she wasn't impressed so cut up the car next to me to make a point of under taking. Clearly she thought her car was better than it is, off the roundabout and into national speed limit, she ate my dust but I let her over take when I'd reached 70. The way I see it is that I prevented her from making and illegal manouvre :D.
