That's normal if the keys are in the ignition, if they are removed you have a problem

it only happend when i unlock it (by the key) remote not working. all doors lock and unlock. but it only takes two pulls after unlocking then i can open as normal just one pull... well until i lock it again.

Open the bonnet and remove the black plastic cover (prise out the flat looking caps) and spray wd40 in the latch area then.
Never had to do it myself but read about it being a cure :)

sorry dont mean to take over the thread, but i have had the same problem with the same o/s/r door, changed the locking mechanism, but that doesnt help, my door will just not lock and the indicators dont flash either when locking the car!!!!

i have been told if the mechanism isnt at fault it may be the locking module which is in the drivers door??? any idea's.

My lights don't flash either when I lock or unlock the car. Just the interior lights comes on.

All doors lock fine.
Tried "palming" the drivers door.

Will try wd40 in the bonnet catch when I get a chance. Seems to be a common problem though : 0

just sorted my bonnet, as per Lee's instruction, also if you get a torch or have superior vision once a load of crap is displaced, you'll see the switch which is wobbly. It's on a flexible
stalk as it were:blink:, thought it had come loose, but no this gets pushed down by the release catch setting the switch.. Plain to see when you move the catch in and out. Check there's no grit or crud inside on the contacts ,as this will bring back the problem,as mine did as soon as I went for a drive:lol:
