It's finally time for me to reveal the car for all, before I start attending meets :D

Despite having owned the car since the middle of March, it's been in a bit of a state and has never been 'properly' cleaned. I've taken it to Total Wax And Treatment Services today (actually my concours winning mate Vas's house) for it to have a 'quick' clean. I wanted to get a better idea of how good/bad the paintwork is after this thread, and Vas just loves cleaning cars and volunteered his services. For the price of a little Scratch-X and a couple of hours of my time, the car got a proper cleaning and we now know the true condition of the paintwork. Hopefully Vas will be along later to explain better than I can, but suffice to say that we found that previous scratch repairs did more harm than good, there is a penny-sized piece of lacquer apparently missing from the bonnet, and a load of stone chips all over the front. However, otherwise (!) it's in really good condition and Vas is confident that it can be repaired very nicely in the future.

So far:
Planned:
  • Front and rear strut braces
  • Front and rear ARBs
  • Forge Big Race FMIC
  • Forge 007p DV
  • Hybrid turbo
  • Carbon wrapped roof
  • Carbon wrapped rear spoiler

Note that there are no plans to lower the car, as I already make contact with the floor too often so there's no point, but I may still fit uprated suspension of some kind, I've just not decided what yet

So, on with the photos. I hope you like what T.W.A.T.S. did with it (see that previous thread to see the difference):

What T.W.A.T.S did to the car:

Started by washing the car with TripleWax shampoo, dried.
Then applied Scratch-X over whole car to cut paint back which was better than first thought. Then applied Autoglym Ultra deep shine , then finished off with Poorboys Natty wax.

Glass done with Autoglym Fast Glass, wheels rinsed, Turtlewax Xtreme tyre gel. Hoovered by my bitch AntNee! job done.....For now!!

I don't know what he means about the hoovering thing:wtf:

Hey, I've joined!!

Not sure what I'm doing on here, as I'm lost without Blue ovals! hehe!

I was pretty pleased with results on the LCR210, as the paint was a lot cleaner than I thought, not need for claying at all, just need to remove the paint of the doofus that had tried to touch-up scratches that looks worse than if they'd left them. Then I think if we do panel by panel it will be fine for a 52-plate car.

I think the wheels need a trip to Leppsons though, deffo better than buying new ones.

Oh, I just need to find a decent helper!! [B)]:funk::bleh::think:
