Ok, so I've been on this forum for over two years now, and have never done a reader's ride before, so bear with me!
I joined when I bought my first car, a 52 plate 1.2 Ibiza. Didn't do any modding, except for a new set of RS6 alloys. I owned the Ibiza for just over two years, and then decided it was time to get something a bit quicker. After a lot of persuading my insurance I bought a Leon Cupra. Going from a 1.2 to a 1.8T was a huge step, but I loved it.

The car is completely standard, and haven't got round to doing anything to it yet, apart from painting the brake calipers red and brembo decals. They don't look that great but better than what they were like!

Then it was time for a good clean and polish!

With some help from my trusty little helper!

And after some good old elbow grease!

So thats it for just now. Got a forge 007p on the way and hoping to get an air cone and HIDs soon.
Any comments welcome!

The car looks beautiful, nice condition. much of a step up from the ibiza? i currently have the 1.2 mk IV

first thing i'd do is darken the alloys, the starfish ones look awesome in a dark silver/grey like this:

Thank you. Glad you like both. You wouldn't have wanted it when I first got it, the man who advertised it as 'free for uplift' was using it as a place for his dogs to sleep in!!!

would be wary of the brembo covers as ive heard they can melt which wouldnt be good. Nice car and loving the look of the mk1. Im currently looking for one as a porject aswell.

I know, he was retired and had all the interior stripped out, was in a right mess. But with a little tlc it's come along way. My brothers one is nicer, his is a silver gti. He gave me my one for my 17th bday, was meant to be my first car but never got round to getting it cleaned up. Was the best cday present ever tho :D

I think I will probably just leave them as they are. I did think about that last night aswell actually , don't want that to happen! Im hoping to try and get it tidied up for next summer, always loved mk1s :)
