Can anyone help was just reading a thread somewhere on here and someone mentioned whilst on holiday he left his cupra in valet mode. Can some one tell me in more detail if a cupra has this function and what it actuall does cheers.
Valet mode just puts it in a low power state, so you know if you have to leave it at a garage, they can't thrash it when taking it for a test drive. Not sure if cupra's have them though
I have the giac map with this mode but it knocks the motor down to 170 bhp but have the kill mode that makes the car impossible to move when away on holiday unless you have the key.
About 3k revs, havent used it in aaages. Scary how slow it makes the car. Tested it when I got the map and was apprehensive about pulling out at junctions haha

Sounds pretty neat. though. When the car is out of warranty (thinking about buying a Cupra R or Golf R) I would personally even use valet mode when handing over the keys to the dealer's grease monkeys for service/repair. Do you happen to know if valet mode also limits boost? Hopefully it does as you can build up full boost even under 3k RPM which isn't something you'd want on a cold engine.
