I have bought some pressed plates from Dubmeister (front and back) but stupidly forgot to buy the surrounds as I didn't realise they wouldn't have a hole in them already.

Can I buy any of the regular surrounds from a third party or should I go for the Dubmeister ones, which will cost a fair bit due to their postage fee?

I just black blank surrounds, no logo.

I just stuck my metal plates on with numberplate tape I did try a plate surround on the front but it looked pretty pants to be honest :)

Thanks adam,

I take it "numberplate tape" is strong stuff as the plates aren't cheap and I don't want them flying off.

Any particular brand or just double sided tape?

i have a problem with my rear, the "tape" didnt hold the rear on too well.. so got a surround from europl8 (only a few quid) and put my rear plate in a surround, but just used double.. double "tape" on the front, and up to now its holding well..

agreed with the not looking good with a surround on the front comment though. looks pretty terrible as the surround looks too big for teh slow there for the plate.

also remember that the bumber is slightly curved so a straight pressed metal plate may need slight bending... eeek:cry:

On the Dubmeister homepage has anyone seen the plate surrounds that are 3rd from the top ?

If you look carefully they are Seat ones, but when you go on the surrounds section they are not there.

Does anyone know where i can get these from ?
