Anyone had a go at fitting the internal led lights to replace the standard interior lighting??

Can the bulbs be just put in as a straight swap??

What do they look like when fitted??

Did you have any ECU problems with the interior lights?? Was it just a straight swap?? AND - what kind of difference does it make??

how many LEDS did you use, do you have a list? and also did you get any ecu problems for the number plate lights?

I used

6 x 36mm 272 Festoon Bulbs
2 x 501 LED Bulbs

I put a larger festoon bulb in the main courtesy light in the front however I think the standard size would also be a 272 Festoon therefore you would need 7.

it's a bit hit and miss really. I didnt at the start then the bulb out light came on, I turned the lights off and back on and it's not come back. If it does re appear I'll put a 150 Ohm resistor in I think (from reading another forum)

You wouldnt get any warning lights changing the interior lights however you do (normally) changing the two lights that illuminate the rear number plate.

Also for reference, I managed to blow the fuse for the interior lights, it's a 7.5 Amp mini blade fuse located on the right of the dash by the drivers door.

GunnerCP...what went where?
Were the number plate bulbs both 272 festoons? leaving 5 out of the 7 for the interior

Where were the 501's?

Thanks pal

correct, number plates 2 x 272 festoons (+ resistors)

2 x 272's for vanity mirrors

2 x 272's rear interior lights

1 x 272 front light panel (the ones that light up when you open the doors)

2 x 501's go in the same unit as above, turn the lights on and you'll see three bulbs.

they are certainly bright but to be honest I hardly have the lights on other than when I open the door. It's a modern white look though. Certainly much better in my opinion.
