approx how much ££ to get 200bhp??

been looking at getting a seat ibiza fr tdi pd130, was going for the cupra but insurance is a problem my mrs has 3 points and an accident (her fault lol.)
seen a few guy on here with approx 200bhp how much would i have to spend on the car to get it running these figures, i know it would be quick.
had a civic type r but had to sell it to fund my first house?

Surely it'd be more expensive to insure a 200bhp modified FR, than it would be to insure a stock Cupra?

FMIC, Hybrid Turbo, Remap about £2k plus new brakes, probably clutch as well

On a standard 130 around 170-180 bhp

so no other cheapish mods to get more power i read a post about a leon pd150 and a tuning company said a remap and some pipe or somethin would give 200+ bhp and that was for just £700

Yeah you can, but a 150 has a Front mount intercooler, bigger turbo and different cam as standard just like a Cupra.

My Cupra is running 200bhp with Revo

Its drives ok, depends what your used to, personally i think its ok for an A to B car (which is all it is to me) but aint no M3 beater.

use the search facility its all been discussed loads of times before.

PD150 turbo, zorst, air filter(with pd160 intake), FMIC and mapped to suit should see 200bhp.

A proper stage 1 (done on a true RR) is around 160-175 at a push, stage 2 (zorst and bits mapped it) will see 170-185.

Dont forget the Ibiza chassis is now around 10 years old so fairly old technology, to handle 200bhp as stated above it will need big brakes, clutch, FMIC, ARB's, coilovers, and some sticky rubber. Its a fun drive but all that power and torque going through the front wheels with a rudimentary traction control system is a recipe for disaster if not driven properly. The new MK5 Cupra on the other hand now that can truly handle some power (forget the torque limit on the DSG)

Why would you need TC on? Tom. and T.Spark can drive their hybrid TDi's fine with the TC off as they do 99% of the time!

Being realistic, to get an FR to 200bhp, and be able to drive it and use the power your gonna be looking at putting around £4-5k into it.

Will deffinately need a hybrid turbo, as the 150 will go pop when running at 200.

FMIC is a must as the side mount struggles on a stage 1 remap.

Full exhaust helps.

Clutch is a must to the torque levels you will be running.

Also surely an LSD to lay the power down and bigger rubber up front!

Can get away without an LSD, as i have been doing for the last 5 months, but it is on the cards and I'd say almost mandatory at this power.

Clutch is a must, LSD would be idea. I couldnt keep the power down on my mapped FR TDi...kept bouncing around everywhere!
