boost problem

hi there i recently bought an ibiza cupra 20v turbo on a 2000 plate. it was boosting at 8 psi but when i disconnected the battery to fit new headlight bulbs its been boostin at 5/6 psi i thibnk i may have reset the ecu and lost the map is this possible cheers.

Are u shore ur car is mapped mate at 8 psi and no mate it shouldn't delete map

thats what i was thinkin mate as theres no proof of it being mapped.its just odd that it was boosting at 8 psi and now its 5/6 psi. i did notice that a small vacum pipe that run along the back off the engine was melted due to the exhaust heat so not unless it was that that caused it to boost at 8psi due to drawing in unwanted air.iv since replaced the pipe and its stayed at 5/6 psi.what is the standard boost pressure that a cupra runs?

True I didn't think of that lol. Am I right in saying 8 psi isn't a mapped car

there was a light that was on think it was edc or summit like that its off now.what is the n75?? sorry im new to this vag stuff, im used to dealing with rs turbos:)

Yeah 8 psi would be standard.

Do a search on the N75 ;) Lots of info on it on here :)

Epc mate n75 is a sensor thingy on intake pipe measures boost ect

ye iv just came across a load of info onit, my mate said summit about that now i no what it is.thanks for the help lads much appreciated;)
