Door Leakage

over the past few days i have noticed a trickle of water running through into the foot wells of my 02 plate tdi. I have checked the drain plugs but they are clear.

The water leaks in just below the speakers.

I dont know if this is common problem.

Any ideas??

Hi,

You need to do a search as all will be revealed. It is a common fault and easily rectifible.

I have this problem, but is managable by opening the door before driving away.

I have been informed that it is the water running down the window into the door and there is some problem within the door that does not allow the water to drain out, but collect between the outside and inside of the door frame at the footwell.

I thought it would involve removing the door interior and doing some investigating... however never got round to do it and just live with opening the passenger door after it has been raining to allow the water to drain outside lol..

Mine does exactly the same. I noticed water coming in over the last couple of weeks. It had been raining here all weekend and when I got in it this morning the carpets were still dry to my suprise but as soon as I was moving water started dripping through. I'm hoping to take the door pannel off and seal it all up but haven't had a weekend where it hasn't been raining for a while.
