Hi,
Has nnyone got a photo of the Bi-Xenon lights on a Bocanegra with the daytime running lights switched on?
The original show car had a circle of LED's around the main lamp unit; bit I suspect the proper ones have a line of LED's above the whole unit.
Also does Bi-Xenon mean both High and low beam thro just the outer unit or is dip in the outer and main beam in the inner of the two units.
Also on main beam will dip stay on or not?

sorry I can't answer ure questions but it seems like an appropriate place to say that I've found you can order automatic headlights as a dealer fit option, I'm getting a price including fitting on wednesday but the parts themselve are about £150- I dont think this is what your looking for but i couldn't justify a new thread haha

I wonder how many people went for what is the most expensive option on the cheapest car in the Seat range?

Yup I also choose the racing breaks, Xenons and the convenience pack :D

Dont care if its the cheapest car in the range. Its also the best equipped in its class!

Brand new VW developed engine (engine of the year in fact) and gear box.. Check
Very good safety rating.. Check
Eye Catching Looks.. Check
Good performance/handing.. Check

Not into car price snobbery, I like what I like on its merits not its price.

Aw :( I thought they would be LED jobbies. Ether way they look cool in the pic's ive seen.

Didn't go for bluetooth and the Sunroof for my own reasons. Did select the tomtom cradle but have added it late. Dealer hasn't got back to me yet??

The lamp uses a single bulb for both dip and main usually using a shutter flap to split the beam. Think they put a P21W bulb in a separate lens for day time running.

So are these Xenon's getting the thumbs up then or not??

All I know is they look damn cool and if they are brighter than normal i'll be happy. The daylight running lights come on with the engine dont they?

Good pics and info on the other ibiza forum (in the mk5 section under optional extra's link) which this site wont let me link to stupidly.

On my Audi and on an Exeo at work the DRL are on a switch so you can turn them on and off. Think when the become law (as of 2011 i think) this wont be possible.

Not to disagree with you; I suspect I'm in somewhat of a different situation.
This'll be my first car from new (although on PCP), and with the cost pcm against my other monthly out goings against my job, couldn't possibly dream of going for the Racing brakes, or Xenons. Not at that much of a premium!

Although I suspect if I'm not entirely happy with the stock lights I'll be getting a Xenon kit to replace them with. :)

Fair comment and one I completely agree with. I'm stretching my budget slightly but since the car is from new I want it right.

The price of 4pots are very expensive though even when not purchased through seat.

My dealer was saying that if your order has been sent to Seat by your dealer they can't normally change the spec.

As long as they haven't "built" it, I don't see any reason why they can't make any changes.

Definately thumbs up for the Xenons.
They are 300% brighter than normal bulbs and last 5 times longer than normal bulbs.

Xenons & TomTom are a "to have" options. The SatNav looks good on the dash, nice & tidy & in a good position for the driver.

Yeps, daylight running lights come on with the engine.

Spoke to dealer yesterday and the tomtom has been added no worries.

Dont know why I didn't check in the first place. The bluetooth option was tempting but for £200 odd I though nah. Just plug my current one into the Aux out and it will come through the speakers anyways.

I think my dealer will kill me, going to phone them up when they're open and see if they can change my order, strip the Ada Blue, change it to Candy White and add the EBA/ESP & Tyre Pressure monitor... saves me £100, the more I look at it, the more I like the Candy White... >.>

Edit: Still can't justify the Xenons! D: BUT I WANT THEM.

Doesn't the cupra have Typre pressure monitor as standard?
