Try to get a Halfords trade card, approx 50% off batteries & a large percentage off all other servicing parts. Saved me a small fortune over the last 18 months.

Did a group join at work, one of my colleagues knew a Halfords employee who supplied him with application forms. Might be worth enquiring at local store to see how you go about it, application is free.
