Anyone else got a DSG?

Hi,

has anyone else noticed with the DSG Ibiza's that when in fully auto mode the downshift gear changes seem to be left until the engine is labouring and vibrating, rather than where you would choose to change if driving it in 'tiptronic' mode? On many occasions I have manually downshifted to avoid what sounds like torturing the engine.

Yes,I also noticed that.But that way you don't even hear changing down,it's very quiet because the rpm are low,around 1000.

I agree it's not a problem unless it's really laboring a lot, if your still not sure though just get your dealer give it a quick once over.
