does anyone know how to turn off the "3 click" indication when you just tap the indicator? i just want it to flash once when i tap it, its just really annoying when someone does the 1 left one right indicator to you and you cant do it back. was thinking a removing a fuse might fix it?

cheers

I'm with you on this one. After owning 4 Seats's in a row, I'm so used to the feature, it annoys me when it's not there

I agree too, maybe a mute point, but the "one flash right > one flash left" thing is not that sensible or legal, I'd leave that to the trucks and buses as they might still need it to say thank you, in the main car drivers don't need any help on the road - whereas they do sometimes. Still, on reflection that "one right > one left" thing is slightly better than someone in my driving pool - he uses his headlight flashers to say thank you to the driver behind him who slowed down to allow him to merge from a slip road - he says its totally bad manners not to do that - I'd think that the only driver that knows he is doing it - ie the one in front, thinks that he is a F**k-wit - and they would be correct!!

Oh, flashing one left one right is a way of saying thanks ?

I just wave, occasionally flash hazards once

Thats what I do, hit the hazard button briefly instead of one left one right. There is alot of legality behind all these different ways of saying thankyou, but everyone seems to do it so....

Doing this would stop the indicators working at all, its all ecu controlled so could possibly be altered within vag com but its not really worth the effort, if you really need to acknowlege somebody i'd do like someone else said and just a quick single hazard flash would do the job

I just use the hazards for a quick flash. Easier than waving, which someone is unlikely to see because of all the headrests in the back of the car and the dirt on the rear window.....
