removing cupra tfsi airfilter

hi trying to find out how you remove the airfilter box off the engine as there are no screws i can see.....instructions and pics would be very helpful if anyone knows how to get this off.......

unclip all the hoses, unclip the maf sensor, and yank it off. Turn it over to reveal the screws.

Good luck getting it back on, and getting it to stay on after a couple drives.

The design is flawed.

mines been off twice now and it goes back fine. If you do remove it - i find rocking it diagonally helps then make sure the rubber grommets stay in the housing. If they come off then refit them to the air filter housing first. It will make sense when you see it.

Must be something to do with us young guys.

Between the 3 of us (me and my 2 mates) we have broken 10 fuel pump sensors because of that bloody crap engine cover!

how did you break the sensor,on replacing cover or pulling it off,,,,,,plus where abouts is this sensor located so i can be careful around that area

I did an instruction manual for AudiSport.net about changing a DV.

In this guide it gives tips about getting the engine cover off.

Follow this link, then click to go from photo to photo and there is a description under each one.

It's not easy, but putting your right hand on the top right hand side of the engine cover, and your left hand on the bottom left and pulling across the diagonal angle (almost rocking it) helps to get it off easier.

I didnt do it lol. Basically the engine cover worked its way loose without my knowledge and has been banging on the fuel sensor breaking it. Its a common fault, happened to loads of people on here, and I cant wait to get rid of the engine cover as its a rubbish design.

Its on the right hand side of the engine cover.
