basically im driving a 06 tfsi the difference is i use an air freshner and i keep it plugged in with the 08 leon the 12v socket by the center console powers off when the keys are out but with the 06 it keeps working :s find it strange but i know the freshner won't drain the battery down but i plug it out until i can find out more about it.

Very early Leons - and those with the Smoker pack option fitted (IIRC) had a front socket near handbrake, and a rear socket in between the two front seat at the back of the plastic thing which has the handbrake and gear stick etc in. (does that make sense?)

annoying thing is the power is left on and because of the air smelly thing i sue in the socket i have to take it out each and yes before anyone ask i don't want those trees they smell a bit too much. Would be nice if i can find a way to switch the socket powersupply off when the car is off too.

David.

I use a little Ambi-Pur thing which clips on to the passenger air vent. Even has a little plastic slider to adjust the smelliness. :) Because it's the air coming through the vent which 'powers' it, there's no need to do anything to do once it's setup (apart from replace the little glass fragrance bottle every 3 months or do, when it's run out).

You can see them on Ambi-Pur's website, but it's all whizz-bang Flash based stuff and I couldn't see how to link directly to the product page.

If the Leon has the same 12v socket set up as the Alhambra, the 12v supply to the aux sockets is cut off automatically if the battery voltage drops below a certain level. So it cannot flatten the battery.
