I am in two minds on whether I should go for this. At the moment my car is standard, just changed the air filter for a Jetix one. The car is low mileage (43,000), and has the APP engine. I really wanted to know what peoples opinions are on if I should spend the £350 and get the remap done. My main thoughts are:
* Will it shorten the life of the other parts in the car, apart from the clutch and brakes and tyres (turbo, etc)
* How will the performance feel different? I have read people saying it pulls stronger from 2500 revs, but really very happy with the 0-60 performance at the moment. The only time I feel it could be quicker is when I am already moving. i.e. on the motorway, it doesn't feel as strong.
* Does having the APP engine make any difference? Not sure what the difference is, but on the forum people sometimes say that it doesn't have the VVT and I think it means I have the earlier turbo.
If anyone has any advise then please let me know.
Thanks,
Rob
