the spray will end up costing me about £800 including paint. fitting im expecting around £600.

already got a set of 18" chromes with tyres which set me back £250 - got them off a cose friend who had them on his leon - spacers yes and i have no idea.
door kit £250 ( cant get suicide doors as the kit would hit in th back of car and it would **** up so just the front ). all in without buying the kit or the wheels i was looking at 2k for fitting spraying and the doors. and thats 2k at a max. i was realistically looking at £1600 because we know the guy so well

Yea.. i've heard stories like that before.

Ending with the car having to be collected in bits because the bodykit turned out to be much harder to fit than the person quoted for.

Nobody in their right mind is going to fit that for £600 not even at mates rates.

i were to get a bodykit and keep the car untill i turn 21 and even if i make my money back on just the car and not the kit id be happy because i owned it for two years and only lost out on the kit - IF i lose out on it. well maintained car should fetch good money. thats why id rather get it all done at once by someone's quality i have seen and can trust

I've also seen people practically giving the car away after trying to sell it with a bodykit stuck all over it having spent thousands of pounds having it done. As someone said above your are alienating such a huge section of the market by doing it you would be daft to expect and sensible money for the car expecially in three years time!

Everyone has different tastes, I think that kit is a good way to ruin a Leon but you wouldn't be a first and it least it reduces the demands on the Cupra R bumpers!

Dont buy a bodykit they all look cheap and like u drive a 1bhp car (GRP sh*t anyway ~ unless u spend mega money and get abs plastic).

Go OE and get the Cupra R body kit.

Just round the corner.
That makes the front look like an MG, why on earth would you want to look like those PoS ;)

As for the Lambo doors - on a 5 door car - no no no no no no no no NO!

I like the bodykit, apart as above the front looks like the MG SV (i thing that's what is called).
But i've not ideas for that bodyfit. HHMMMM.

IMO, no five door car could ever pull off Lamo stlye doors.

But at the end of the day, it's your car mate.
But if you want to spend 4k, I know of a leon cupra that could help you spend it.LOL

What about the idea vauxhalls used with the "springy" brass pins on the boot and plates on the shell, so when closed they made contact?

same on fiesta's but they are only 3/4 pins at a time sadly

You're problem here is that on a forum folk can voice what they think of a car that looks like that, what people think when you drive it down the street.

Now....i've never mentioned it on here before but...I have a car in my drive with Lambo doors on it :ban:

Here is a pic.....

HOWEVER

The car will not be taxed and moted til the doors have been put back to standard. The receipt for these doors were given to me when I bought the car. They cost £2000 (wtf).

Since then they have proceeded to rip the hell out the wiring system in the car, and the doors just dont close right, or look right when they are closed.

As someone who knows what frameless door windows are like to try and adjust correctly I agree that its a crazy idea, although I dont think the E36 ones are as bad as the E46.
Plus as you say the wiring on the A pillars on them is designed to do a litle travel in and out in the normal direction, I imagine that would cause a nightmare for broken wires etc.

taken advice from a lot of people.. not going for the wide kit.. got it remapped a few weeks ago and a nice set of alloy wheels ( standard 17" leon wheels not chavy ones )

bit quicker not as quick as i want but its done. also got all the brakes done aswell so it stops aswell.

not planning on spending any more money atm.. insurance will get knocked down next year a hell of a lot when i turn 21 and on traders. saving up till then pull out a jap sports car hopefully so i think i came to my senses with the kit ambition lol

the car is a little high on the wheels though?
any other small mods i could do for a power boost? im sticking with 150bhp bora's up till 3rd gear but then they just start edging forward. only other thing i have in mind is an exhaust system to help the power flow?

it was a 110 before the map i checked on logbook :)
