well all of the welding should be done now..done the rear valance today..got rid of the number plate thingy majig....cut out for patches of rust and plated up and also plugged up a few holes...first coat of skim went on..forgot to take pics..sorry

also started doing a set of wheels i had in the shed...first thing was to strip the 13 year old powdercoat! not fun...not sure if i want to run the caddy on these or not....so just doing a quick refurb but they seem to be coming on ok :D

cheers boss! im thinking running 195-40-16.....or a 165-40-16 what you think? on the beezer im running 45's but would like to go down a profile size

i dont know,, ive seen a pic on a 7j rim and thats stretch! lol...would be best jsut to get 195 40s because they could go onto beezer then too and still have grip, unlike this stretch mallarkey!

fine line between style and sanity though but looking at the jetta with no inner arches at ed38 i know where my camp lies

have both can always drive home on a safe set

cheers boss...maybe a few days away from it may do me good...or a day when everything goes to plan...im going to have to do loads of overtime tho now as in the next 3 weeks ive got car tax/insurance/breakdown cover all for the ibiza and then tax and insurance for the caddy if it gets finished :( skint as it is

I don't know why you keep doubting yourself with this project, every time I look back in it's taken a good step forward and unless you're hiding a load of iffy work - not that many steps back along the way. Looking forward to seeing this in the finishing stages too :)

my old man pulled me to one side to just remind me that after all im a 21 year old postman who is doing a 1st time project in a dark shed, and not to be hard on myself all the time..it sank in a little i suppose lol

have been doing lots of fabricating, number plate holder, rear bumper, mk4 height adjustable seat modding! woo! aint really succeeded with many but there getting there! haha

laying down some paint...a whole new thing to me, going well untill my gun blew a seal :(

haha, thats a nice gesture mate.. im going to pop down to see the caddy in a mo so should be able to get some better pictures with some light on it maybe.. still got to find and source a passengers door, so if anybody knows of a 5dr mk1 golf breaking let me know! :)
