Hi all,

I recently had a chance to run my car (LCR - IHI Converted) on a Private Test Track ;)

....at about 120+ the steering seems to get very shakey etc....

What should I look at?

...also - powering out of corners - I can never get the power down, I seem to get this funny vibration/rumble if I power out of the corner..? is this the inside wheel not getting grip? or the ESP? or the Diff?

Thanks

The vibration could always be wheel hop. I get this when pulling away in mine, it has too much torque. I am in the process of getting an uprated dog-bone mount to see if this helps things. Have you upgraded any of your mounting?

Rumble? like ABS?

I suspect ESP is kicking in, is the yellow light on the dash flickering?

Two options to help;-
- lowered uprated suspension and anti-roll bars
- Quaife or Peloquin type ATB Diff

either option will cost £1000 to £1500 if done right incl fitting

It might sound like a very basic answer but i had the problem once getting 110 in my previous car, turned out the wheel balance on just 1 wheel was just slightly out after having a tyre change 3 months prior, but never went fast enough to know untill that day!

another thing to check is the plastic trim under the bumper, it plays a big part in stability at high speed.

With ARBs - The thicker they are... the more stiffer they are?

Hence - The more the body roll is reduced?

is that how it works?

Thanks
