hi, i'm after a bluetooth headunit for my ibiza, i want it mainly for the handsfree calling but i'm not too sure what the best one around is . .

i've been looking at the Pioneer DEH P85BT, i had one of these in my old clio, very good headunit and does pretty much everything. I've been looking on ebay and you can get one for just over £100ish but i was just wondering if there are any others that people recommend . . nothing too expensive though!

cheers

parrot bluetooth kits come integrated into the hu's...the parrot nipples actually don't work quite as well with hu's, and if it's integrated you don't need to have a parrot in sight and stuck on to anything

I've been looking at the Kenwood KDC-BT8044U it sound's pretty good and looks quite tasty and i'm quite byest to kenwood head units, not a bad price to around £200 - £250
i can't post a url to kenwood site for being a newbie but just have go to kenwood-electronics.co.uk. what ya think?

that does look like a nice headunit to be fair, not sure on the display though, cant make out wether its always just writing or wether there's some nice pictures like on the pioneer

have a look on ebay if you're getting one though mate, there's a fw on there around £170

I got this unit and its awesome to be fair. You can get it a lot cheaper than that now!

The bluetooth setup is made by parrot as well.

If you go for a headunit with Parrot built in to it that way you can update the soft ware as and when you change your phone.
the head units without the parrot system may be hard to update and the software in them could be months even years out of date

my 2p's worth

I have an Alpine head unit with built in Parrot bluetooth and external mike and it is awsome.

Havee to maybe see if I can update the software though as I can't get the numbers from my Blackberry 8900
