Revo Stage 1?

Hey guys, I am planning to chip my car but can't make a decision as to which tuning company to go with. Revo looks like a reputable dealer so was considering them. What do you guys think? Could anyone help with the approximate power gains and pricing of stage 1?

Thanks, Vix

seems like revo are the people to be using, i read somewhere that they can use your cruise control to switch been standard and the remap is this right??

nope that is APR, Revo use a select switch to switch between standard and tuned and you can also change the settings like boost, timing, fuel with it and it has an anti theft mode ;).

No mate, unfortunately the select switch is £100 extra.

I have REVO stage 1 and thinks its great, no other mods, it's still remains very driveable and smooth, though you do get a bit of wastegate flutter, but the power is nicely torquey, progrerssive and very significant...

Go for it ! You can always add the select switch later if you want to... :D

The fuel efficiency is definitely better with a gentle remap.

I get about between 5-7 extra mpg on my REVO stage 1, when driven "Normally" :D

Having had another brand of map on my car pre-Revo Stg 2+, I can honestly say the Revo is an well developed and aggressive map (without compromising on the quality of the drive for general driving).

Being UK based, offering staged upgrades and the Select switch option gives plenty of reasons to consider it. Can't recommend it highly enough.

However in your decision make sure you can decide on a good independent dealer to support you in case you have any further mod plans. Being a million miles from your chosen dealer can be a pain in the @r$e.

WoW! Thanks for the input guys, i'm definately convinced now that Revo is the company that i am gonna go ahead with:)
And the Revo Salesperson just got back to me and it gonna cost R6500 ( 550 Quid or so ) inclusive of the select programmer ! Just got to save up the extra cash now and go ahead with it:D

Thanks again for the input guys

Custom Code says it all... its not just the same map put into your car in a hour like some, its custom and takes half a day and they have good deals on stage 2 and 3 if u want it later in time.

CC Stage 1 is a generic remap. Stage 2 is custom, stage 3 is BT.

Why not go for Superchips "Bluefun" which is a milder remap than Revo and is a lot cheaper. That's what I'm going for at Christmas. It like the way you can take off the map at any time, handy if you still have warranty.

Have a look at their website.
