Afternoon ladies and gents... This is my issue...

My TCS and ABS lights have come on... I have searched but had no concrete answers to help... So here's a run down...

- Car is boosting fine, peaking and holding as usual...
- No boost leaks that i can find
- All fuses are fine

I dont have Vag Com to hand to get it on to read fault codes if any...

Does anyone have any idea's what the problem could be...

I would have suspected the MAF, but due to the car boosting and running correctly, from what i have read, its probably not this...

Also - As i'm a knob, could anyone point out which bit is the MAF! If i'm not that much of a knob, i assume its the plug directly after the filter?

Thanks in advance guys...

Jamie.

Would that throw up the TCS light also then?

There is only one wire in the arch, so i assume this is the ABS wiring and if i follow, i'd find the sensor...

I assume the only way to check for definate is Vag Com...

Although, it comes on before applying the brake pedal... Does this sound correct?

I'll get the car up tomorrow and have a look at the wiring and see if there are any breaks or chafing etc...

Hopefully it is the ABS sensor, quick and easy fix... Heading back to Swindon tomorrow, so will hopefully touch base with Robbie C over the weekend and see if i can use his Vag Com.

Any other ideas if its not this?

on mine the tyre chafed the abs wire bare. First this caused the abs to permanently come on. So I re-insultated the wires after which TCS and ABS simply no longer work. However the lights are still on.

Dont know what to do next, but the car can't pass its MOT whilst lights are on...

Ive just had the car up and inspected the looms, none have any damage at all, so i'm ruling this out...

I also cleaned up both of the sensors the best i could which also made no difference...

I guess a more definative answer will come when i can get Vag Com to work.

Alright mate, sorry I missed your call last night.

I'll be about at odd times this weekend so give me a shout if you want me to scan it with VAG COM
