Leon feeling a little tired

Leon feels a little tired as of late

I know the MAF was down on readings last time (204g/s) so will do some new logs for this to see if it is definitely on its way out....(should be at least 220g/s)

wondering if the car could do with a full service as has not been serviced for a good 6 months (spark plugs, oil change?)

but was wondering about the fuel pump etc? running hybrid power

also with logging, apart from the usual actual/req boost, g/s etc what areas I should concentrate on?

Hi Jamie, I can;t help here but I also think that my MAF is starting to fail. It's all well and good until it reaches higher revs and then starts to drop it's reading. How can you tell when the MAF has actually virtually given up, I need to watch out for this?

That's the thing, I don't :(. I have 409.1 on my PC but no cable. I know the genuine cables/licences are quite alot and there are a few 'copies' out there but not sure what cable I need to do MAF logs. I assume my LCR should be reading 220g/s (Stage 1)?

I'm not sure what readings you should have [although 190-220 rings a bell]

I don't have vagcom either......always something you need isnt there :cartman:

Yeah I could do with knowing this as well, VAG-COM is something I haven't really played with mainly due to not having the full and unlocked package..

I'm considering buying it, guess I could make most of my money back if I decided to sell?

Your just getting used to the power bud.
I'd recommend getting a GT2X Hybrid turbo, I've heard there great, lol.

If your car is under fueling it will be showing CF's, Correction Factors and the timing is retarded to account for the leaning out of the fueling.
I wouldn't have thought you could have felt the difference between 205 and 220 g/s on a quick spooling turbo like you have.
Have you tried and ECU and TB reset?
Are you using your normal fuel?
V Power/Tescos 99 RON?

yeah hybrid gt2x.....awesome setup (although Robdons is good, but thats the only succesful one I have ever seen setup....)

ran some crap fuel the other day, no Shell stations around and was desperate....maybe will improve with a few tank fulls of optimax to wash out the crap fuel (currently running optimax at the mo)

have not tried ECU and TB reset no...how do I do this? think I have seen a guide on here somewhere?

what block is CF's?

MAF was 204 last time, but could have failed more since. Will do some logging late tonight

Mate, for what it's worth definitely do the TB clean and ECU reset,i bet you notice a difference in the car.I appreciate the maf could be on its way out but,it seems one of the problems if you can call it that ,with these Leons is the ECU adapts to how the cars driven over a period of time,i've always found an ECU reset just seems to liven the car up again:shrug: Is what i've found anyways:)

I use super unleaded, and was under the impresion that the ecu adapts over time to the fuel if i do a ecu re-set will the ecu forget this and re-set to normal settings?

Not too sure TBH Phill
I think it learns very quickly.
My mate with a MK2 Leon put in Octane boost and it too a few miles to get the best out of this after an ECU reset.
But would think a reset with a tank full of Shells finest is about as nice to your car as you can be
