Well this is what everyone has been waiting for.

It will be a 2.0 tdi CR 140ps

They will start building from next year at build week 3

Sorry I wrote that wrong. Ill hav to drive them first. There not in Ireland yet :(

I love the idea of not having to use a clutch. Iv awhile to decide.
Whats the handling like compared to a Mk2 Leon with sports suspension????

just what the doctor ordered:funk::funk::funk: ...i may be swayed by an ST though if it's got the same engine and would even consider tsi 150 for the ST.

Only 140bhp? The Mk IV Cupra TDI had 160bhp so I'd have hoped they'd have met that at least with the FR TDI....:(

No plans for a Cupra TDi just yet

But the 2.0 tdi 140 goes well in the leon so it shoud be a winner in the Ibiza and being the CR version will be nice and smooth also

Will proberly be around 14k I guess or abit more ? Didn't tell us prices :(

Going by the leon prices from a fr DSG to a fr tdi 170 the diesel version is some £1300 cheaper than the dsg petrol.
So the ibiza fr diesel by comparison in manual should be around £1000 less than the petrol dsg:) Or even less because its the 140 engine not the 170 as in leon fr[B)]
