What are the pros and cons for each?

Bearing in mind it's a 1.2.

I've found some wheels i like but just can't decide on 16" and bigger profile tyres or 17" lower profiles.

Will take your comments on board before i make a choice!

If you have facelift bumpers then I'd say go for 17" as they'll look better. But If you like a comfortable ride then go for 16" with a 45 profile tyre.

I think 16" suit pre-facelift Ibizas more as the bumpers are smaller.

you got any pictures of the wheels you like? because like RaggedLob said if you get a good looking set then that might help with your decision.

Ok well i reckon i'll get 17"s as long as the 1.2 power doesn't turn into 1.0 power i'll live with it! lol

the heavier wheels do make a difference to the power as i noticed it when i had my steel wheels back on last week, not much but alloy is heavier than steel so it makes sence, but i doubt there would be a difference between 16 and 17" alloys, ad go with 17's they look better

17's with a smaller diameter tyre won't change your rolling radius that much, weight of the wheels will have an effect...

could also go for lighter wheels, i remember replacing the 15" oem alloys on my peugeot with 16" OZ wheels, and they were a lot lighter
