Milltek on K1 advice

Can someone confirm the following advice that I received today from Milltek.
I was enquiring about a Cat-back Resonated for my K1 and they said that the Resonated was designed for the Sports Cat and without it it would be quieter than my stock pipe and that I should go for the non-resonated instead. Something to do with having two Cats on the Mk2 Leon.

Is this true, I've never heard that before

I had a Milltek cat-back resonated on my Ibiza Mk3 Cupra and it was definitely an improvement.

Can anyone shed some light on this before I spend my hard earned cash on the wrong one.

milly resonated cat back is stupidly quiet. Non res isnt exactly loud either.

Find someone with a milly and have a listen to theirs.

I have a full TBE with resonator box and its not loud at all at motorway speeds. I did have a cat back 1st without resonator and it did sound nice but gave no power advantages.

How do you find the resonated tbe Blade? Do you feel its loud enough or do you ever find yourself wanting a little more noise?

So you had the noisier non-resonated then changed to the quieter resonated?
Do you find the your current setup (resonated) quieter than stock which is what milltek imply even though you have sports cat presumably?

Well I have an Fr TFSI and put a cat back milltek reonated on and found it to be much quieter than standard and was a bit disapointed so then done a deal with a scn member for a non res section and what a difference. Drive it normal and in the car you don't here it but sounds a nice tone on outside. Drive it hard and yes you here it but not intrusive on motorway you I can sit on cruise upto 85mph and not know its there only when acclerating hard so best option in my opinion. Also check you tube plenty on there. Hope that helps kev

I prefer the resonated. Its got a nice burble but doesn,t intrude into the cabin when your driving normally. When your on it you get a purposeful sporty noise. Having watched my K1 getting ragged on a rolling road it is very loud under full load.
