I wouldn't feck about using filters that might not work. The OEM one does and has continued to work on my car for 6 years and 100,000 miles.

Why do you want to run a K&N one?
Have you heard there will be benefits?

Its just the name, will be exactly OEM spec jus branded K & N, use decent oil, oem filter and its sufficent even for a remapped car or hybrid turbo etc.

Take a look at this thread, this was the results from my car with Millers XF longlife oil and OEM VAG oil filter.
The oil was actually CLEANER for being in my engine for 6,000 miles than it was when it came out of the factory, FACT.
Now, I don't know anything about the K&N filter but I have been in hydraulics for 14 years. You cannot get increase flow and filtration. Increase fitlration will give you a bigger back pressure, increase flow can only be created by filtering with bigger meshed elements, therefore less filtering.

So are the OEM ones.
Sorry but cannot see the need for uprating something thats doing a perfect job as it is.
Each to their own of course
