Those figures are very optomistic for a remap alone, i mean 60bhp? Revo only (only - he say's :rolleyes:) manage to squeeze out 40.

Hmm, if the engine is otherwise standard and those figures are true, I think it'll be a race between turbo and clutch to see which lets go first....

Muddyboots?!? surely you're not suggesting that the turbos fitted to seat vehicles are a weak point? and as a result, often fail mid flight ;)

nope, not mid flight, but just when you need it :cartman:

mine has dyno'd 225 bhp and 330 lb ft(hybrid). i'm still on a standard clutch with no slip. i'm no angel either :)

* touch wood

once it gives up the ghost i'll opt for a sachs with a new map

but 330lb.ft on a hybrid is crap and inturn whats the point in having a hybrid?

as for turbo dying, not on the 150 they are decent ones, but those figures the op posted are crap, no way will you get those figures

i didnt want to spend another £700+ on a new clutch when theres nothing wrong with my current one. the turbo was on it's death bed so a hybrid was cheaper than a new one...

when the clutch goes, it will get a decent map. until then for me it is not a priority.

All depends how you wanted it mapped - remember peak torque is relatively low down the rev range; you can limit this peak to help make your clutch hold out and have a smooth power delivery, but reap the benefits of a hybrid's ability to maintain torque further up the rev range than a standard turbo could, and therefore (as power is just a function of torque and engine speed, with a constant thrown in to the equation) much stronger top end power.

I think there are two possibilities here:
1) You really are getting those figures, in which case I think you're crossing the boundaries of turbo reliability (based on what most tuners limit their maps to on a 150), or
2) The dyno figures are a touch optimistic.

Would be good to take it to a "known" dyno, IE one that's been used by others on here with similar cars and it's "accuracy" is known - such as Awesome GTI (keep an eye out for SCN RR days, there's usually one there once in a while) - to know either way.
