At that price for an intercooler you wouldn't be so heart broken if a stone punctures it.
I'd be well pissed if I had to fork out another £650 for a new Forge one in the same situation.
Might think about swapping out my Forge one for a cheaper edition

After swapping the WMI nozzle to a smaller one, I did some more logs, and it's worse! It's pulling more timing than before, now pulling 6 CF and it was no more than 3 before, so I'm switching back to the larger nozzle.

I revved it a bit higher (to 7k rpm) than before and got a peak airflow of 219g/s which I'm happy with.

My £90 ebay intercooler is also working well too, saw no higher than 21 degrees intake temps right up to 7k rpm.

Thats some good figures with a flow off 219g/s not to far off 300bhp. Go on scary us with some other figures.......how much you reckon you spent on it??:D

The same question is still in my mind, if you log with 5o extra timeing with NO CF's, then push it .75 (5.75o) more and get CF's of 3, is resultant timeing 2.25 less that it was at 5o?

If you log 003 + 020 it appears so, so surly for the most power, you want NO CF's? Iv still not been able to find answers to these questions.

Logs looks great tho Rob, Air flow is very good.

I think if you stay below 5's or 6's there will be very little ecu correction or certainly not enough to cancel out the benifits the extra timing introduced.

Looking good Rob.

I made the journey up to Aberdeen for the Wallace Performance rolling road day, couple of hours drive up and same back. My car made 317.3bhp (279.4bhp @ the wheels) and 285lbft, although my Apexi is not set up right and was causing the boost to fluctuate, something Wallace said they can fix with a setting up session, so I'll get that done soon.

If you remember from a page back, after my logs I said this:

"Correct, LC sensor in LCR housing, LCR housing is 16% larger. 219 x 16% = 35. 219 + 35 = 254g/s.

254 x 1.25 = 317.5bhp.
"

317.5bhp ................. and today it made ................. 317.3bhp!!!!!!!!!

I reckon the turbo is making around 297bhp and the WMI and advanced timing around 20bhp on top.

Superb result there Rob, makes it all worth while. When the apexi is running 100% there maybe a little bit more to be had.;)
Your calcs have all worked out spot on, how the csa of a cupra maff exceeds that of a lcr by 16% is beyond my maths  but those results can't be argued with.
As you've said before with your setup theres little point in going for BT.
Great to see a car perform as well as it looks, so the question has to be what are you planning next for it.

excellent results there rob so good day in all then.

As for insurance question any modification you carry out on car in legal terms must be declared. Failure to do so would result in insurance being void.
