the splitter - forge

hello,
i have just bought myself a 2004 leon cupra r and was thinkin bout getn a dump valve/blow off valve for it. i have already read that the atmospheric ones are no use so i had myself a wee look on the forge website and found 'The Splitter' a recirculation blow off valve, i was just wondering if anyone has fitted one of these and if they no if they r any good? thanx. J

ive just got a LCR and mines got a forge dumpvalve on but i dont know which 1. sounds nice

can cause issues with the split-r... buy the 007p instead, cheaper aswell.

If you do get one once it's set up right leave it alone, they are NOT loud and you wont make it any louder.

i found when i fitted the coldside kit it seems louder

I ment you wont make it louder by adjusting it, an open cone filter will help a bit too.

I had mine wound fully clockwise, was on for 6 months no probs at all.
An induction (I've got BMC CDA on), will make a slight improvement, as will taking the sound deading off.
As already stated you can't make it louder unless, the car runs higher boost.
I'v put a Baileys DV30, And that makes a louder noise.

cheerz guys. ive got a bit o a problem now, got a bit exited an went an bought one before checkin these replies an u say its a pain t set up correctly. got any ideas on who or where i can get it set up as im not very confident in doing this myself. i live in aberdeen. J
