Hi, i had sprayed my washer cap in satin black and it looked good for a while but is now tatty as has be opened and closed a few times so the paint has flaked slightly. Do you think it would still work if i just used to cap part and cut off the hinging section?

Yes, just to have it painted black so it doesnt stand out as much being blue. sad but the little things make a difference

Did you just spray with paint?
Did you prep the area so the paint will stick well? And did you lacquer it after the paint was done?

If dont properly no reason for it to come off so easily.

Cheers for the confirmation Darren, think il be on it this weekend if my other bits havent arrived.

Jonnyjonjon's does look great the whole bay infact but the price for the look i want - stealth OEM engine bay, wouldnt be pulled off with a mega shiny cap and the rest stock.
